Hey guys! I remember getting ready for my baby a few months back and wondering what I should and shouldn’t get, so overwhelming! I found it very helpful getting advice from other moms and reading blogs. I’m happy to share with you my top baby items that I can’t live without! These are items I have used and loved the most up until now (0 to 3 months). Hopefully this will help you get ready for your bundle of joy. Get in touch with me if you have any questions!
I use this carrier pretty much every day. My baby is in my arms A LOT, it gets pretty hard on my back. This is a life saver. I used the newborn insert for the first 10-12 weeks, now I don’t need it anymore (his little legs didn’t even stick out at first because he was so tiny)! You can put your baby in 4 different positions in this carrier, so I know I will use it for a long time! I have also used it for walks outdoors! Great carrier.
The first few weeks, I used swaddle blankets when I put my baby down at night. At about 6-8 weeks, he started wiggling around a lot and he would get his arms out of his swaddle and waking himself up! I did a ton of research and decided to try the Swaddle Up. LOVE. He now gets to sleep with his arms up (which allows him to have access to his hands to self-sooth), but not wake himself up by hitting himself in the face with his swinging arms! You can also unzip and let the arms free when baby is ready.
I got this as a gift and had no idea I would use it as much. Babies love white noise when they go to bed at night. I turn on his sleep sheep every time I put him down in his crib (4 different soothing melodies). He loves it and helps him fall asleep quickly. It’s very nice to travel with too, helps baby sleep no matter where he is!
This play mat is amazing for the early months! Having the pillow helps baby with tummy time. I also bring this every time I travel. He has napped on this numerous times when we were away from home. You can also fold it to carry it easily.
I have just started putting him in his crib for daily naps! I try and do it at least once a day to get him used to it. But typically, he naps in his swing and has always since day 1. This Graco swing is great! It vibrates, swings (6 levels) and plays soothing melodies.
My baby has been sleeping in his room since week 3 but we just recently bought this monitor, we were starting to feel the need for one (when we put him down at the end of the day and don’t want to stay in the room till he’s asleep, when we’re travelling and now for day naps). I don’t use it at night really because I’m such a light sleeper. As soon as he’s awake, I hear him from by bedroom and I’m up. I like the fact that it comes with a screen. I didn’t want to drain my phone or ipad battery with a wifi monitor (I also heard creepy stories). There’s also a ‘talk’ feature so that’ll be nice when he’s older. Great monitor!
Like I said earlier, I swaddled my baby for the first 6-8 weeks. Aden + Anais swaddles were all I used. So soft and breathable. Now I always put 1 in my diaper bag when I’m travelling so I have something to put the baby on when we’re not home or to keep him warm. You always need a good blanket!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Let me know what your favorite baby items are in the comments!
