Hey guys! Can’t believe it’s Thursday already. Weeks fly by so fast when you’re taking care of a baby. Why isn’t it the same for work?!
We got approx. 55cm of snow on Monday and we’re expecting another 25 to 35cm today! Insane. All of my mom & baby classes have been cancelled this week. I haven’t left the house since last Saturday. I’m slightly going crazy! Never thought I’d love getting out with baby this much and hanging out with other people. Maternity leave can be lonely sometimes. Can’t wait for next week!
That said! Today I’m sharing my favorite smoothie recipe! I’ve loved this smoothie for years now. It’s so simple but it has a taste I can’t get enough of. Now, as for most smoothies, you can add pretty much whatever in there. Sometimes I’ll add different ingredients to it, but here is the simplest version:
Half a banana
Frozen Blueberries (about 1/3 cup)
Frozen Strawberries (a handful)
Vanilla Soy Milk (about 1 cup – you can use the milk you like, but I love the taste of soy milk)
Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (you don’t need this ingredient, but I love the texture it gives the smoothie and the extra protein)
1/4 to 1/3 cup dry oats
Blend on high and enjoy!
Other ingredients I sometimes add: honey, maple syrup, hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, frozen mango, spinach, greek yogurt…
