Hey guys! I hope you’re all well. We’ve been home with baby J now for a week – it’s been an adjustment for sure! I’m slowly getting used to my new routine and excited to get back to blogging more (and share pics of the little man with you! You can see a few pics of him on my Instagram for now!).
Today I wanted to share my favorite fall drink! To me, fall season means hot spiced apple cider. I just love the smell of it; the sweetness and spices. So cozy and so easy to make! Here’s how I prepare it:
8 cups fresh apple cider or apple juice
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon or 2 cinnamon sticks
1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg
4 whole cloves
1 orange, cut into slices
1. Heat the cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and orange slices in a saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until the mixture is hot, stirring occasionally.
3. Strain the cider into a heatproof pitcher or individual mugs.
4. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and slices or apples or oranges, if desired.
You can also make it as a “pot pourrit” and leave it on low heat on your stove. Your whole house will smell amazing!
